FA chief visits Whaley Bridge Club – one in 500

Whaley Bridge Football Club has achieved unique recognition from the Football Association, with a visit from national chairman David Bernstein.  The visit celebrated  Whaley Bridge becoming the 500th FA Charter Standard community club.

Steve Rampley, chair of the Whaley club, welcomed Mr Bernstein (a former Manchester City chairman) and other figures from the Derbyshire Football Association.

Attempted Burglary

Some time between 21st-25th April, an attempted burglary has taken place at a property on Buxton Road, Furness Vale. The offender/s damaged the frame and door but no entry was gained.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 0345 123 33 33, quoting crime number: 21209/11.
