Want to help out and have a lovely meal as well?

Whaley Bridge Luncheon Club is now in its 11th year of providing a homemade two course lunch for elderly or isolated residents of the area on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, at the Uniting Church on Buxton Road.

Itʼs a very jolly environment and many of the volunteers have been with the club from the beginning. However we are looking for a few more volunteers to help out. The commitment? About four hours (five if you cook) of a Thursday every few months, helping to set up, serve and clear lunch for about 50 (donʼt worry – we have a dishwasher!). The reward? Mixing with some lovely interesting people and getting to have a tasty lunch with them.

If you or anyone you know think they can help and would like to be part of the club please ring Stella on 01663 732132 or Charlie on 01663 744692.

At present we have a full group but anyone interested may put their name on our waiting list.
