Whaley gets its first Christmas Tree Festival

Whaley Bridge is to have its first ever Christmas Tree Festival in Holy Trinity Church on Buxton Road, over the weekend of Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6, 7, 8 December.

This colourful event will be a welcome to the Christmas season, with a dazzling event and plenty of opportunities to meet up with friends.

On the Friday evening, the opening will put young musicians in the spotlight.  Over the weekend, start the festive feel with coffee, cakes and maybe mulled wine, with Christmas music, a raffle and tombola.  You might even win a Christmas present or two!

The event gives local businesses, schools and organisations a chance to show the public what they are doing.  Each will provide their own decorated tree, with leaflets or other information.  They will pay a fee of £15 to the church, to go to magazine and other funds.
