A resident in Buxworth received a phone call on 18th February, from a man asking if he had claimed his government grant for loft insulation. He asked for bank details and said he would pay the funds direct into his account. When asked for the company name and contact number, the caller hung up.

Please be wary of cold callers. This resident did the right thing – don’t give out any personal details.
