The Greatest Show in Derbyshire arrives in the village of Chinley on Saturday, May 17th with live music, sporting tournaments, a dance show and an artist workshop with High Peak Community Arts.
Celebrating the forthcoming World Football Cup, this year’s Chinley Primary School fundraising Spring Fair promises a carnival of fun for all the family. There will be face painting, a bouncy castle, BBQ, refreshments, a pocket money toy stall as well as an Auction of Promises.
Kick off begins from 12pm at Chinley Primary School on Buxton Road. Hosted by the school’s Parents and Teachers Association (PTA), this year’s star attraction will be a live Samba performance from Chinley Primary School children in partnership with Ruido Grande – Glossop Samba Band.
Chinley Primary School PTA hopes this year’s fair will be the best ever with a range of attractions for everyone. Funds raised from the fair will go towards much-needed teaching resources.
Collette Hazlewood from Chinly School PTA said with more than a dozen local businesses and crafts persons taking part as well as homemade refreshments and traditional fairground stalls such as hoopla and splat-the-rat, the day promises to be a great day out for families across the region
Chinley Primary School Spring Fair takes place at the school on Buxton Road, Chinley from 12pm to 4pm on May 17th.
