We know that happy, confident mums and dads have happy, confident children. Being a parent can be brilliant and challenging at the same time. Children change so fast, and every family is different. Sometimes you might find yourself unsure of how to handle an issue and want advice to help you feel more confident. That’s why, until March 2014, CANparent is giving all parents, grandparents and carers (including forster parents and childminders) of a child aged 6 or under living, working or studying in the High Peak free classes and online resources under the CANparent Classes and Advice Network.
You can choose from a range of different options to suit you and your lifestyle – from online support to local groups. You can get support with issues such as:
- communicating and staying calm
- managing sleep issues
- learning through play
- coping with difficult behaviour
- rules and routines
- parents working together as a team
- understanding different stages of your child’s development

It’s absolutely free, so why not give it a try?!
