Spring Bank

ARTS AND LEARNING CO-ORDINATOR

Required for January 2014 – Arts and Learning Co-ordinator for Spring Bank Arts, New Mills, Derbyshire.

Spring Bank Arts Centre, New Mills, Derbyshire has an exciting vacancy for an Arts & Learning Co-ordinator. The Centre, a Grade 2 listed building, provides a stunning venue for performances, exhibitions and learning in our small, thriving community.

We need an enthusiastic co-ordinator to run the day to day activities in the Centre. You will assist with developing the Heritage and Learning programme, work in the creative programmes team to build our Arts events, manage bookings for the many centre users and support our publicity team.

You will need to demonstrate some experience and knowledge of events management, arts development, heritage interpretation with administration and IT skills. Local knowledge of the entertainment and arts scene in New Mills would be a distinct advantage.

The post is for 21 hours per week at £8.50 per hour. Actual working hours will be agreed with the successful candidate, but at least 3 hours attendance at the Centre will be required on each weekday. The post is, at present, funded for a further 12 months. It is then hoped that the Centre will generate sufficient income to support a permanent post.

The closing date for applications is Monday 16th December 2013.

Application:

Please submit a concise letter of application addressing the requirements of the post as set out in the information provided, together with a full CV, naming two referees. These may be submitted electronically or by post to Richard Binch, to arrive no later than the closing date.
