Whaley Bridge Uniting Church is holding a gingerbread festival on 19/12. This is a new venture and it will provide lots of fun for all the family.  There is a competition for best home made gingerbread house with a £50 prize for the winning entry.  All entries will be on display on Sat 19th December at church for people to come and view.  Also on Saturday there are a number of gingerbread house making workshops for adults and gingerbread men decorating workshops for children – come along and bake/decorate your own house or ginger bread man.  Also on the day light lunches and cakes will be available and we have a number of Christmas goody stalls. Running in tandom are a number of wreath making workshops. There are also lots more activities for children.
This will be a brilliant fun event which we hope will become an annual community event in Whaley Bridge. Application forms for the competion can be found in local libraries and Footsteps in Whaley or by ringing 01663 732306. This is also the number for booking on a workshop.
