The Green Flag was officially raised in Memorial Park today. Mayor Councillor Stewart Young performed the ceremony and raised the flag by the Wheatsheaf Road entrance.

Also in attendance, were representatives from the Friends group, the Monday Crew, Horticon, Whaley Bridge Town Council and High Peak Borough Council.

Memorial Park recently received the prestigious Green Flag Award, and was named one of the very best parks in the UK. Congratulations to everyone who has been involved along the way.
