Whaley Bridge’s Christmas tree festival, this weekend in Holy Trinity church, Buxton Road, promises festive fun in a spectacular setting, starting on Friday night. (12 Dec)
Dozens of trees, decorated by local organisations and businesses, will turn the church’s nave into a sparkling wonderland. From 6pm-8pm, there will be mince pies and mulled wine, a visit from Santa, a chance to be photographed with a real reindeer, plus singing and handbell ringing from children.
On Saturday, 10am-4pm and Sunday, 11am-4pm, there are further opportunities to see the trees as well as buying gifts at a ‘pop up market’. Santa will make a second visit on Saturday afternoon.
