A great afternoon out with Live Music and something for everyone to enjoy!
There will be Live Bands playing all afternoon; Bouncy Castle; BBQ; Beer Tent; Tea and Coffee; Cakes; Children’s Activities; Face Painting, Plants; Stalls; History and Information tents and loads more…. Including organised Village Games at 1.00pm and our popular Dog Show which will start at 3.00pm (bring along your pooch); Also don’t miss our new attraction for this year – the ‘Animal Magic mini zoo’ from 4.30pm. Your children will love this opportunity to see – and even pet – these exotic animals. They will be visiting at 4.30pm.
COGS 3D model of the proposed development will be on view which shows how all the community’s ideas have been drawn into the vision for the field. You’ll have the chance to comment, ask questions or volunteer to help.
Furness COGS is now a registered charity and is taking on a 99 year lease from HPBC. Since last year, they have had their field dedicated by QE2 status, thus ensuring it’s protected forever. They have also been awarded £50,000 from Sport England towards drainage and landscaping and are hoping the work will begin very soon after the Field Day on May 17th from noon, Furness Vale Field, Park Crescent, Furness Vale SK23.
