Whaley Bridge Toddler Group Receivers Town Council Grant

At the March meeting of Whaley Bridge Town Council grants were agreed for a number of local organisations including £75 for Whaley Bridge Toddler Group.

Spokesperson, Peter Stead, said: “On behalf of the toddler group in Whaley Bridge I would like to thank Whaley Bridge Town Council for their generous donation of £75. The money has already been spent on purchasing lots of Duplo Lego, including a zoo set, animal clinic set and a safari set.

“This will compliment the wide variety of toys and equipment we already have, giving the group a much needed construction activity.

“The group meets on Tuesday and Friday mornings 9.30am- 11.30am in the upstairs hall at the Uniting Church. We charge £2 per family. This includes tea or coffee for the adults and milk, milkshake or water, toast and biscuits for the children.

“We welcome all pre-school children, including babies, with their parents/carers.

“The group provides the opportunity to meet new friends and for the children to play in a warm, safe and welcoming environment.”
