W3 2014 – the Whaley Bridge Water Weekend – celebrates the 15th anniversary in June.

The committee has been busy through the winter planning the perfect programme, to follow up 2013’s sensational success in warm sunshine. We can’t guarantee the sunshine (although we always have some!) but we can guarantee a unique weekend, with boat trips, live music, a fairground.
Live music is a growing feature, and this year we’re delighted to welcome the amazing Rogers Floyd – Pink Floyd tribute par excellence on the big stage at the canal basin on Saturday night.
Boat trips and most things are free over the weekend. . Our famous Whaleyburgers – guaranteed local produce – will be on sale. And there are charges at the fairground, based as usual on the nearby car park. The Water Weekend was delighted to be able to bring a fairground to Whaley for the first time in the memory of most people.
Boat trips are the main feature of the weekend. We plan to provide even more trips than previous years along the canal – a perfect part of a summer’s day under the green canopy of waterside trees. Last year 1,600 people took a trip – about one in every five of Whaley Bridge’s population.
