Morris dancing taster session

The Powderkegs Border Morris Dancing side, based in Whaley Bridge, have just completed another successful summer season of dancing at various venues in the Peak District, as well as taking part in weekend dance festivals as far away as Kent, Cambridgeshire, Scarborough and Skipton. Our aim is to enjoy ourselves, and to entertain the public with our exciting brand of morris dancing, as well as keeping the tradition alive.

Before we start our autumn and winter practice sessions, we have a beginners workshop for any prospective dancers and musicians to come along and have a go. This will be on Saturday 7th September from 1 – 5pm at the Uniting Church Hall, Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge (upstairs door from the car park – just follow the noise !). Anyone is welcome to come along, just bring yourself and some comfortable shoes.
