Whaley Bridge leads in the launch of CANparent trial

High Peak CVS, based in Dunbar House, Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge, has been chosen by the government to pilot its CANparent scheme in the High Peak. This is one of only three trials in the UK; the others are in Camden and Middlesbrough.

Being a parent can be brilliant and challenging at the same time. Children change so fast, and every family is different. Sometimes you might find yourself unsure of how to handle an issue and want advice to help you feel more confident.

That’s why, over the next two years, CANparent is  giving over 50,000 parents in Camden, Middlesbrough and High Peak in Derbyshire a voucher worth £100 to spend with the CANparent Classes and Advice Network. Local distributors of these vouchers are listed here.

Parents can choose from a range of different options to suit them and their lifestyle – from online support to local groups.  They can find the time and place to learn about what really matters to them and share advice on what really works.
